Jeff found his love for racing at a young age when his father owned horses. Once a former champion hunter jumper rider he found himself wanting to get more involved in the racing side. At age 24, Jeff traveled the world as an amateur jockey. eventually his time as a amateur jockey ended and he decided to take his assistant trainers test. He soon worked as an assistant trainer to quality trainers such as Bruce Headley, Dan Hendricks and Bob Hess Jr. While juggling assistant trainer duties he found time to get a Bachelors degree in Kinesiology. Jeff later went out on his own and now has over 540 career wins and has trained multiple stakes winners. Since 2013 he has been ranked in the top 100 in wins nationally.


After 30 years in the business, Jeff really found his nitch when moved his stable to the Pacific Northwest to Emerald Downs, where he has won the training title three consecutive years. In 2015, he equaled a season record of wins at Emerald Downs. He also trained Washington Champion - Horse of the Year, E Z Kitty. Jeff also sits on the HPBA Board in Arizona and Washington.



He currently has horses stabled at Santa Anita and Turf Paradise.
